Hi, I'm Tom, Sales Manager from Newview Glazing Specialists. We work with such clients as Heathrow Airport for the last 10 years. We’re principal contractor for London City Airport. And we needed a package and a software to help us assist with our quotations and how we're working with our volume of residential work. We were using varying software packages before, which were a little bit old-fashioned – a bit clunky - and we needed something that was more of a seamless approach to dealing with customers, quoting works and getting our quotations sent out accurately. So that's when we started using Framepoint. It's been a real success - it's simple and easy to use. The Framepoint software has assisted with our conversions
Feedback from clients is really good. When you can draw things with a client and actually explain in detail what we’re talking about, that's where this software really does come into its own. It's a customer-facing tool at the end of the day. When working in construction, sometimes things are still quite basic and straightforward. You need to use technology to push your business forward - it's as simple as that – so, really, this is catching up with what we should be doing and should have really been doing quite a few years ago.
So as a business, we visit lots of clients. I would have four to five appointments per day and then creating multiple quotes, so actually, when you're doing that on pen and paper, it can get quite messy. So what I mean by that is client might go “well actually can you give me a uPVC cost? And I'd like a colour with that, And I'd also like maybe a cost for aluminum because my friend down the road's got something similar”. So when we're sending out multiple quotes, it used to take a long time for our teams to draw that up, maybe more accurately, send it off to different manufacturers - once they're then received, they would then go into our accounts team and then they would go through to the front office team, and then at that point they would probably have to do new drawings because alterations and so on and so forth. That's then created into a quote and a letter and then sent out. With Framepoint now - a lot slicker, a lot quicker - so my original drawings are used because they're accurate. There's no misinterpretation, “oh, has Tom written a three or is that a five? Is there this? What sill is that? Oh, okay. I'm not sure”. Actually the details there. If any amendments need to be made, they can be made really simply and easily.
Everything is then sent through to the different department via email, quote letter - bang out the door! It really has sped up our process. We're an ISO company, so we're always looking at ways of streamlining and using less. So, actually, when we're using the Framepoint software, it does make a big difference to us. We've noticed we're ordering less paper!
